Terms of use
This translation is provided for convenience only. The binding version of this document is the Hebrew one (עברית); if the two differ, the Hebrew version prevails.
Welcome to BST — Beam Solver Tool ("the Service" or "the Platform"). These terms explain clearly how the Service is used, what is permitted and what is not, and what the rights and responsibilities of both parties are. Use of the Service constitutes agreement to these terms — if you do not agree to them, do not use the Service.

What the Service is
BST is an educational platform for learning and practising statics problems — analysis of beams, reactions, shear forces, moments and axial force — including educational explanations. The Service is intended for learning and practice only.

Educational use only — not a substitute for engineering approval
BST is an educational tool, and it is not a substitute for professional engineering design or for the approval of a qualified engineer. The results of the tool must not be relied upon for real-world structural design, execution or approval without review and approval by a qualified professional. Every result, calculation or diagram requires independent verification before any practical use. Full details on the Disclaimer page. -

User account
- When signing up, you must provide correct and up-to-date details.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity carried out in your account.
- You must notify us if you become aware of unauthorised use of your account.

Payments, subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
PRO subscription. The PRO subscription is sold on a monthly plan (renewed every month) or an annual plan (renewed every year), and it is a "continuing transaction" within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981. Prices are displayed in the app before purchase and include VAT. Payment is made through an external, secure payment processor (Grow) by a standing order on a credit card, and by completing the purchase you also accept the processor's terms. BST does not store credit card details.
Cancelling the subscription. The subscription may be cancelled at any time, with no cancellation fee, in one of the following ways:
- with the "Cancel subscription" button on the profile screen in the app;
- by e-mail to beamsolvertool@gmail.com;
The cancellation notice must state the full name and the e-mail address of the account. Confirmation of receipt of the cancellation notice will be sent to the e-mail address of the account.
Cancellation date. The cancellation takes effect within 3 business days of the date on which the cancellation notice is received (and within 6 business days if it was sent by registered mail), unless you requested a later date in the notice. From the date the cancellation takes effect, no further charges will be collected.
Access after cancellation. On the monthly plan, access to PRO is retained until the end of the month that was paid for, and no further charge will be collected. On the annual plan, access will end on the date the cancellation takes effect, and the pro-rata part of the payment for the period not yet used will be refunded to the means of payment from which it was collected.
Refunds. A charge collected in error after the date the cancellation takes effect will be refunded in full to the means of payment from which it was collected, on the next billing date of the credit card company. Beyond that, refunds are given in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law and the Consumer Protection Regulations (Cancellation of a Transaction), 5771-2010, to the extent that they apply to a digital service to which access has been opened.
Cancellation within 14 days of purchase. In addition to the above, the purchase of a subscription may be cancelled within 14 days of the day it was made (a distance selling transaction), by notice in one of the ways set out above. In that case the payment will be refunded to the means of payment from which it was collected, less the pro-rata part for the days of service used up to the cancellation date, as permitted under the Consumer Protection Law.
Changes to prices and terms. Prices, plans and subscription terms may be updated from time to time. A change in the price of a renewing subscription will be communicated by advance notice to the e-mail address of the account, at least 30 days before the first charge at the new price, and will not apply to a period that has been paid for. If you do not agree to the change, the subscription may be cancelled before the date it takes effect.
Free credits. A new account gets its first 5 exercises at no charge and with no credit card. Credits cannot be converted to money or transferred.

Permitted and prohibited use
- Use is permitted for personal and lawful learning and practice purposes only.
- You must not reverse-engineer, copy, redistribute or sell the Service or parts of it.
- You must not disrupt the operation of the Service, overload it excessively, or attempt to bypass security, authentication, billing or usage-limit mechanisms.
- You must not share an account, use it on behalf of another person without authorisation, or misuse it.

Explanations generated with the help of AI
Some of the explanations in the Service are generated automatically, including with the help of artificial intelligence, and may contain inaccuracies or simplifications. They are provided "as is" (AS IS) for learning purposes only, and the responsibility for checking their correctness lies with the user.

Service availability and interruptions
We strive for high availability and a stable experience, but we do not undertake that the Service will be available continuously, without faults or without errors. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We may change, add, restrict or discontinue features and components of the Service, all or some of them, from time to time.

Intellectual property and content
The Service, the content, the design, the code and the materials in it (except for content that you create) are the property of the operator of the Service and are protected by intellectual property rights. They must not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.
The exercises and content that you create remain yours. You grant us a limited permission to store and process them solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you (for example saving exercises and reloading them).

The Service is provided "as is" (AS IS)
The Service is provided as is and as available (AS IS / AS AVAILABLE), without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including with regard to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or the absence of errors.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service and all those connected with it shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from use of the Service or from reliance on its results — including, without limitation, any use in real-world structural design, construction or application.

Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these terms, misuse, or a requirement of law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Clauses that by their nature are intended to survive the end of the engagement (such as limitation of liability and intellectual property) will remain in force.

Changes to the terms
We may update these terms from time to time. An updated version will be published on this page with a new update date, and continued use after the update constitutes agreement to the updated terms.

Governing law
These terms shall be governed by the law of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in the Central District shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
